JOSEPH AIVASIAN: Artist/Painter

Joseph Aivazian’s series was showcased on November 3, 2018 at The Artery.

Joseph Aivazian was born in Tahran, Iran, where he remembers drawing with his father as early as 4 years old. Shortly after, his family moved to India, then Germany; ultimately residing in Glendale, California. It was then, at the age of 13, that Joseph began skateboarding (to which he does religiously to this day) and began painting more with oils by the age of 20.

With a genuine attitude, Joseph can be extremely sensitive to and at times willing to absorb his environments. “When I see something, I feel something. Even smells can inspire me. I want people to get inspired and go out to see and do things; to not be afraid to try things. I’m inspired by getting out and moving, which is mainly for art and skating.”
